Construction

The decisions that make a tee yours.

A t-shirt looks simple until two suppliers make the same brief differently. These are the choices we fix in the specification so that cannot happen between your sample and your bulk.
  • Neckline and neck finish

Crew, V-neck or another neckline, with rib width, neck tape and shoulder taping defined on the specification. The neck is where a tee first shows its age, so it is settled at sampling rather than in bulk.

  • Body shape and fit

Regular, relaxed or boxy oversized fits come from a pattern developed to your chart — drop shoulder and body length included — rather than from resizing a generic block.

  • Sleeves and hems

Short or long sleeves, hem depths, stitch type and any sleeve rib are recorded, so a repeat order is hemmed exactly like the first.

  • Fabric and weight

Composition and GSM target are yours to set. If you only know the handfeel you want, we propose fabric options during development for you to approve.

SpecificationWhat to tell usHow it affects the quote
FabricComposition (for example 100% cotton or a cotton-polyester blend), knit type and GSM target — or a swatch or reference tee.Fabric is the largest share of a tee’s cost; heavier weights also add to freight.
Fit & measurementsYour size chart with tolerances, or a reference tee to measure. Note drop shoulders or oversized fits.Oversized and longline patterns use more fabric per piece.
Size set & ratioSizes offered and pieces per size, for example S–XXL at 1:2:2:2:1.The ratio drives fabric consumption and how cartons are assorted.
ColoursColours per style, with Pantone references or swatches. Each colour is dyed and cut as its own lot and can carry its own fabric minimum.
Print or embroideryTechnique if known, artwork files, colour count, print size and every placement — front, back, sleeve, neck.Decoration cost climbs with each added colour and each added position.
Labels & packingNeck label type, size and care labels, hang tags, folding and polybag requirement.Every trim adds material plus handling time on each tee.

Quality

What inspection checks on a t-shirt.

Inspection runs at material intake, in-line, end-line and before packing. On tees, these are the points it concentrates on.
  1. 01Chest, body length, sleeve length and neck width measured against your chart and tolerance.
  2. 02Neckline lies flat and holds its shape, with rib and taping attached evenly.
  3. 03Shoulder and side seams sewn straight with consistent stitch density.
  4. 04Print or embroidery position, size and colour matched to the approved sample.
  5. 05Labels in the specified position; folding and polybagging to your presentation standard.

Questions

T-shirt production questions.

What buyers ask before placing a t-shirt order.

Can you make heavyweight or oversized t-shirts?

Weight and fit are set by your specification. Give us the GSM and fit you want — or send a reference tee — and we confirm suitable fabric and develop the pattern to match at sampling.

Which printing methods can you use on t-shirts?

Screen printing, other print methods and embroidery are available. The right technique depends on your artwork, colour count and fabric, so it is confirmed against your files and approved on the sample before bulk.

Do you sell blank t-shirts?

No. Every tee is cut and sewn to a buyer’s order, so there is no stock of blanks. Plain tees are produced to your specification like any other order.

Can one order include several colours and print versions?

Yes. List each colourway and print version separately in your enquiry with its quantity, because colours and print setups are costed individually.

Send yourt-shirt spec.

Attach a tech pack, reference tee or artwork with quantities per colour and size, and we will quote against it.
